My, oh my, how time flies! Summer is officially over, Autumn is finally here… yay. It’s no surprise that it’s my favorite time of the year: the rich colors of autumn foliage, chilly air, new Apple releases, September issues, pumpkin spice lattes, and my birthday…but that’s not all. It’s also time for a positive change, time for self-improvement-to get healthier, to be happier, to get smarter, and to be the better version of yourself after all. It’s that time of the year when I need to hit that reset button, so I’ve put together a list of things I want to do more this autumn and, hopefully, onwards.
1. Eat mindfully and make healthy choices.
Eat fresh, nutritious food; more fruits&veggies. Be mindful of the way you eat, slow-down, listen to your body signals. Don’t mistake thirst for hunger.
2. Exercise 5 times a week.
I’ve been running on the treadmill everyday for 30 minutes, and I’m very proud of myself so far. I feel more energized and content.
3.Read a book everyday.
I try to carry a book (or iPad) with me wherever I go. At the moment, I’m reading ‘The Organized Mind” by Levitin.
4.Drink at least 2 liters of water a day.
What would I do without Brita filters? I keep a 600 ml. bottle of water in the fridge, and I usually add a tea spoon of lemon juice for a bit of extra flavor.
5.Have a positive outlook on life.
