I should admit that YSL Rouge Volupté Silky Sensual Lipstick in Rose Culte is one of my favorite lipsticks in my collection. The formula and packaging scream luxurious! I love the chic gold packaging with the YSL logo in the middle revealing the colour of the lipstick (which is quite helpful in case you have a few of these in your stash).
In terms of consistency, it’s very creamy and buttery; it glides on smoothly delivering a rich, opaque coverage in one swipe. It feels ultra smooth and light, yet leaves lips comfortably moisturized with a radiant satin finish. It lasts for about five hours before fading down to a super pretty raspberry stain (depending if you eat or not). That being said, it won’t last through a meal without a touch-up.
Rose Culte #11 is a beautiful fuchsia red that can be worn either with neutral eyes for a daytime look or pair it with a brown smoky eye for a night out. Plus, since it has a cool undertone, it makes the teeth look whiter.
While this definitely isn’t the most affordable option, it’s totally worth the splurge. Personally, I’d rather save up for one good quality lipstick than have a few that I don’t like as much.
